Hibernation of a Dream

It’s a story of four boys. Long back when they were in school. One of such afternoon when their teacher was teaching in the classroom; on the second last bench, an idea, a valiant idea, suddenly came out of the blue and struck one of them. Other three saw it eye to eye. Four boys, Fifteen years old, decided to travel two hundred and fifty kilometers far on cycle; Without ever stepping out of their city on their own, without cycling even few stations away from their homes, they decided to go on like gypsies. What made them think of such exploit?

Going on cycles is understood. This is what they have enjoyed the most, long drives in unknown pockets of the city. In fact they recognized other beings in reality on such excursions. On cycles their friendship grew!

But at such tender age, why travel two hundred and fifty kilometers in the terrain they know nothing about? Was it the sense of traveling through unknown, which they were not mature enough to realize, that was making the adrenalin rush through their brains? Or was it just a rowdy adventurous act they wanted to put up there?

Well, it was the last vacation of their school life. It came, it went. Just like that. What those boys did not think of while planning their expedition was, they are not animals, they are human beings. It was probably too early for those four boys.

After that vacation they entered a new life. College life. Soon all of them went their ways, which were different. They kind of settled down in what they were doing. Made new friends, saw new lands, experienced new cultures. They were discretely in touch, Enjoying life and feeling content for each other.

Eight years passed...

One afternoon when they were busy doing their usual business, at remote places, the same old idea struck one of them! Soon other three saw it eye to eye! This time Through phone and IM though. The bug has bitten them all. Once again!
